I see that you are interested in finding businesses ventures that will be profitable for you, and for that you need to do a feasibility study, or market study. I do not know of an actual website (although there may be some) where you can do that. That would be too easy! In my estimation, listening to the news and reading major periodicals and major newspapers, watching stocks will give you an idea of larger industries that might be of interest. HOWEVER...



Before that, I think that you should do some introspective research. Most entrepreneurs are yes, in it for the $$, but they also have a definite interest in what they're doing. Look at Donald Trump for example, he really enjoys being a real estate mogul.



Have you heard of Phil Town? He's this guy who wrote a book called Rule #1 and its about investing, and doesn't seem to have much relevance here, but one of Phil Town's most important criteria when choosing whether or not to invest with a company is if its product really interests him... I think thats very important for anyone putting money or effort into a business, whether by buying stocks or an actual business.



So, before you start researching markets, determine which markets to research by listing your own personal interests! Maybe you like real estate, and buying investment properties is intriguing (and a good choice with the market the way it is now); maybe you like to eat well and are a proficient chef and can envision your name on a chain of restaurants... you know? You need to figure out who you are, and go in that direction, study industries that interest you and you'll enjoy it more (and thereby be more successful!).
