Whatever you're researching, it's got to be something that you're interested in and that you yourself come up with, otherwise it would defeat the purpose of the program. I recommend that you spend some time outside in a place of interest to you and see if anything catches your eye. Is there a population of an invasive plant in the area? Is there any sort of runoff or erosion that would impact the habitat? What's the level of human usage of the space? Etc.
From there, you can come up with research questions and do a literature search. How might this affect mammal species X or mammal population Y?
If you have any questions about the specifics or methods, your academic advisor and the professors in your department are the people to go to.What is a good research topic for an undergraduate student interested in wildlife conservation?
Well if your interested you can study invasive species and there impact on your region i am an invasive plants expert I work with game and fish in Arizona. And its amazing to see how one plant or animal EVEN Insect can disrupt the balance of an entire ecosystem i am focus on plants mostly such as Buffel grass, Fountain, Red Brome, and Star thistle and the are all extreme fire hazards which is not good to have in a dry desert such as Arizona so it threatens the entire ecosystem!!!What is a good research topic for an undergraduate student interested in wildlife conservation?
What are the true human, wildlife boundaries to the animals?
In other words, coyotes will live right in among humans, but what is the boundary parameter for other types of life? If human's encroach say 5 miles in will other wildlife retreat the same 5 miles to maintain a human free boundary?
