To be honest that is really too broad of a question to answer. Some have degrees in biology, ecology, zoology, etc, etc, etc... many of the biological sciences. Some just have 4 year degrees, some may have masters or doctorates, it really can vary.
When it comes to jobs that is even broader of a answer. Some may work in the field, others in lab, some for the government others for private companies. With so many jobs comes a wide range of pay, most of which depends on who you work for, what exactly you do as well as how long you have been there.
I would say on average pay can run from 30k a year to over six figures.
Just depends. What is the starting salary for a research biologist?
Thank you, I was looking for a relatively broad answer.
More specifically, how about a research biologist with a masters degree working in the industry or in a hospital?
I'm currently debating between a physician assistant program or masters degree in biology or pharmacology.
