How do I write a statement of Research Experience Goals and Interests?

I am applying for a summer program that will help me receive grant money for college. Its saying I need to include a Statement of Research Experience Goals and Interests. I have NO idea what this is or how to write it. Does anyone have any ideas for me?How do I write a statement of Research Experience Goals and Interests?
Have you ever done a research project before? This would be the time to mention it. Otherwise, do you know who you want to work with, or have you been assigned to someone already? Come up with a basic idea for a problem you want to investigate.
